Dove Windows Limited Lifetime Transferable Warranty

 This is to certify that all vinyl windows and door products manufactured by Dove Vinyl Windows are warranted against any defect in material or workmanship under normal use and service for the life of the product (subject to limitations and restrictions contained below) for as long as the property owner shall own and live in the property at the stated property address. To validate this warranty you must fully complete the certificate of registration and mail it to the address on the registration card within 30 days after the installation date.

The lifetime limited warranty is transferable by the property owner living at the stated address to subsequent owners of the property, provided Dove Vinyl Windows receives written notice of the transfer of the property within thirty (30) days of the property transfer date and a five dollar transfer fee per window. The consumer must produce the original invoice for the windows and pay a ten dollar processing fee to Dove Vinyl Windows at the time the warranty is transferred. Failure to notify Dove Vinyl Windows of this transfer or to pay any of the required fees shall relieve Dove Vinyl Windows of any further obligation hereunder.  Transfer can be done one time, and will change the warranty to 20 years from date of installation.  Vinyl frames will be free from cracking, peeling, pitting, warping, flaking, blistering or corroding. Moving parts, such as (but not limited to) balances, roller wheels, locking mechanisms will be free from manufacturing and/or material defects. Bow/Bay Windows- the wood seat and head board and side jambs- will be free from any major manufacturing and/or material defects including warping and/or delamination for a period of 3 years from the date of installation. (Wood is a natural product that may contain naturally occurring imperfections in the grain, finish and/or color. These are not considered major defects and are not covered by this warranty). This limited warranty will be void in its entirety if the internal and/or external wood components of a bay/bow are not protected from moisture and/or other effects of the environment using an approved sealant and/or cover material within 5 days from the date of installation. Dove Vinyl Windows will not assume any additional liability for damages caused directly or indirectly by the purchaser’s delay in reporting the problem to Dove on a timely basis. Dove supplies a cable system for each Bay/Bow window for support. If this system is not used the warranty is null and void unless approved in writing by Dove Vinyl Windows.

Insulated glass will be free from material obstruction of vision resulting from film formation or dust collection on the internal glass surfaces caused by failure of the hermetic seal, or spots, bubbles, marks, lint and scratches as outlined in federal specification C.1036-85 or another spec that replaces this spec in the future. Patio door glass is warranted for 10 years only.

Condensation on glass, which may occur as the natural result of humidity within the house or building area and interior/exterior temperature differential, does not indicate a defect in the window. Stress cracks, which can be the effect of window settlement or expansion and contraction of window frames, will be covered for five continuous season changes from the date of installation (Seasons consist of four per year).

Procedure - If you feel that your product is defective, contact the authorized dealer who installed it.  Have them inspect and verify the problem and then contact Dove and order the proper part in accordance with this warranty. Only the defective part will be repaired or replaced, not the entire component unless the component is defective. If Dove determines that the claim is valid in accordance with this warranty, Dove, at its option will repair or replace any defective part when such defective part is returned.  Dove will require the original invoice number or original order number to affect these repairs. (The original order number should be written in by purchaser of product and appear on warranty card).  Dove reserves the right to change, improve, modify, and/or discontinue specific product lines and/or components without notice. If the exact original product and/or part is no longer available, Dove reserves the right to substitute a similar product and/or part deemed by Dove to be of equal or greater quality. Dove cannot be responsible for discontinued components for which there is no similar or alternative component available.

This warranty only covers manufacturing defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damages attributable to installation, normal weathering or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire, flood or acts of God, misuse, mildew, building settlement or structural failure of walls or any other causes or occurrences beyond Doves control. Dove Vinyl Windows will not be responsible for freight or labor costs of any kind or for removal or reinstallation of its products under any circumstances.  Dealers are not authorized to change or add to this warranty, Brown on White products are not covered by this warranty.

THE WARRANTY HEREIN IS EXCLUSIVE, AND DOVE MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED OR SOLD BY IT. DOVE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE. NO AGENT, EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE OF DOVE AND NO DEALER HAVE ANY AUTHORITY TO BIND DOVE TO ANY AFFIRMATION, REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY CONCERNING DOVE PRODUCTS OR PARTS, EXCEPT AS STATED HEREIN.

THE REMEDY OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, SET FORTH ABOVE, SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AGAINST DOVE VINYL WINDOWS FOR ANY DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCTS. DOVE VINYL WINDOWS SHALL NOT IN ANY EVENT BE LIABLE TO ANY BUYER FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONSEQUENTIAL, PERSONAL INJURY OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF USE OR LOSS OF PROFIT OF ANY KIND, WHETHER FOR DEFECTIVE OR NON-CONFORMING GOODS, NEGLIGENCE, OR ON THE BASIS OF STRICT LIABILITY, OR FOR ANY OTHER REASON. IN NO EVENT SHALL DOVE BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES FOR IN EXCESS OF THE COST OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.

Commercial Application - If the building in which the Dove Windows unit is installed is a commercial building (a building other than a single family residence), then this warranty is limited to a 10 year period and is non-transferable.

This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. Some of the limitations above may not be allowed in certain states and therefore may not apply to particular purchases.
